While we move forward with the Lord Lyon King of Arms to be recognized officially as a clan, we invite you to become a Provisional Member of the Clan Phail Society. At present, there is no cost associated with the membership. Our hope is that having a membership role will be helpful in our request to the Lyon Office as well as provide a way to directly communicate with those who are interested in supporting Clan MacPhail. We may eventually charge a small fee and provide some benefits, but for now, the goal is primarily communication.

CONNECT

The official Facebook page for the Clan Phail Society International. Best place for updates on the international organization.

This group connects MacPhail descendants (with various surnames) primarily in the southern United States, but has made connections with kinfolk in other parts of the United States as well as in Canada and Scotland. It is working on a theory that many MacPhails in the eastern United States descend from an ancestry line that was located in and around the village of Kilmartin in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, as well as the Inner Hebrides. They had family members who immigrated to the American colonies directly from Scotland into Cape Fear, North Carolina, as well as through County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

This is a DNA project to give descendants of the various MacPhail surnames a chance to find common ancestors and enable the descendants to share information and genealogical research. An account is required to join.
